Who we are

The Ontario Trails Preservation Alliance (OTPA) is a united voice for trail users across Ontario, dedicated to preserving, protecting, and promoting sustainable access to public trails. Founded by passionate outdoor enthusiasts, the OTPA works to ensure that Ontario’s extensive trail networks remain open, safe, and accessible for generations to come.

We represent a diverse community of riders, volunteers, and organizations who believe that responsible trail use and thoughtful advocacy go hand-in-hand. Whether it’s off-road motorcycles, ATVs, SxS, off-road trucks or multi-use trail access, our mission is clear: to protect the rights of trail users and foster cooperation among landowners, municipalities, provincial government, conservation and recreational groups.

What do We do?

At OTPA, we believe trails are more than just paths— they're lifelines to community, nature, and adventure. Join us in standing up for Ontario’s trails and the people who ride them.

  • We work with government bodies and stakeholders to defend and expand public trail access.

  • Promoting responsible riding, environmental stewardship, and trail etiquette.

  • Partnering with clubs, landowners, conservation groups and other trail organizations to maintain positive relationships and trail sustainability.

  • Supporting initiatives that conserve trail corridors and secure long-term public access.
